DREAM WITH ITS OWN NAME.

In the heart of the Ribera del Duero

Rubén Ramos is a family-run winery owned by one of the most enterprising winemakers in the Ribera del Duero.
100% Production of his own vineyards, all of them located in Peñafiel.

WHERE NATURE MEETS HUMANITY

OUR VINEYARDS

Tempranillo 100%, soil made up of sandy-loam over a subsoil of limestone and clay.

Blessed with unusual, indeed unique, natural conditions. The climate of the Ribera del Duero area is characterised in broad terms by moderate to low rainfall that, together with its dry summers and long, rigorous winters and sudden temperature changes throughout the year, is of a Mediterranean type whose primordial feature is continentality.

Traditional harvest, only by hand, grapes directly selected in the vineyards.

The terrain is sandy loam, with an average active limestone percentage of 12%, and the three vineyards are driven on trellises, with traditional cordon pruning. The plantation frame is 3mx1,40m.

Annual production is regulated according to the climatological characteristics of each vintage; The good work in the vineyards and the fact that they are favored by the microclimate of the vines are the keys to the concentration, typicity and personality of our wines.

OUR WINERY

The Winery is located in Camino de Bezana, very close to our vineyards, offering impressive views of Peñafiel Castle. It consists of two diferent buildings, the winery, where we make al the typical tasks in winemaking: Fermentation, maceration, aeging, bottling, labelling… and on the other side, we have the house, where we find the offices, tasting room and headquarters, a warm and functional area, where we welcome our visitors.

We produce our wines with a Traditional and Artisan way of winemaking, limiting the treatments in the vineyards to respect the noble characteristics of our grapes.

Long maceration and aeging, all the typical features of Ribera del Duero, with a healthy grape full of flavours, building a real contact with the land.
Aeging in French and american oak barrels and subsequient maturing in bottle, bring finesse and elegance to our wines, giving them a rich organoleptic complexity.
